CEO

Keli McDonald, Principal of Kels Country Pty Ltd has been engaged as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Rural Women’s Coalition.

Keli has a passion for business and helping rural people achieving their business goals, starting her professional career with ten years in Sydney working for a large accounting firm before returning to NW NSW to work for Rural Press Limited.

After settling in Gunnedah NSW, Keli started Kels Country Pty Ltd a boutique business services enterprise for a diverse range of clients from agriculture, manufacturing, not for profit, retail and service industries. Keli has a clear understanding of the core principles important to rural, small businesses, corporate and NGO’s and enjoys working with clients to ensure their professional goals and compliance obligations are met. With over fifteen years in her own business Keli brings to the NRWC experience with business acumen, governance, communications and stakeholder engagement. Keli has a strong affinity to women forging careers in rural Australia.

As CEO of the NRWC Keli is responsible for:

    • Building and maintaining networks with RRR women, organisations, service providers, Government Departments and Authorities in developing, managing and implementing projects. 
    • Supporting the President of the National Rural Women’s Coalition Board and represent the NRWC as required in high level discussion and negotiation; and to be the point of contact with the public and to promote the organisation and industry in Regional, State and Federal forums. 
    • Ensuring facilitation of a Work-plan and a Strategic Plan defining project priorities and budgets. 
    • Providing executive, organisational and administrative support to the National Rural Women’s Coalition Board. 
    • Supporting the Board in monitoring projects and managing projects; 
    • Supporting the Board in attracting additional resources for further projects and preparing as required progress and financial reports to the Board, Office for Women and supporting funding agencies. 
    • Maintain program budget and accounts as required to report to the Board. 
    • Appoint, supervise and review the performance of other contractors within delegation framework.
