From Broken Hill to the Big Apple

The United Nation’s Commission for the Status of Women (CSW) was born in 1946, dedicated to ensuring women’s equality and to promoting women’s rights. Forty-five Member States of the United Nations serve as members of the Commission at any one time and next time around, Australia is included.

Just one month ago, our very own NWRC board member Darriea Turley was selected by the Australian Government to represent Australia next year at the 56th Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW 56) in New York City.
